Have you ever had one of those moments where everything feels right? You don’t know what it is, but you can’t help feeling a sense of overwhelming serenity or beauty or vitality. And the fact of the matter is, you just want to soak it all up. Down to the very last drop.

I have.

In fact, I have those moments a lot. They come in different forms, all spontaneous but none more beautiful or significant than the other. For me, it’s that first breath of air when the weather is just right, and the way the horizon shines at night with a glimmering buzz of people that never sleep. For me, it’s that song that makes me remember every hope and dream I ever had for myself. (Treacherous by Taylor Swift at the moment, Sunday's Best by Augustana on a daily basis.)

Those moments - the ones that have something so undeniably different about them - that it’s hard to even put into words. Each has a vast sense of everlasting light. Even though they're fleeting glimpses, they always manage to come back. And more than that, they always seem to restore a sense of good to life – reminding us all that though this world is hard, it is full of something worth so much more.

My life has had an element of rapidity lately. I’ve taken these beautiful little moments for what they are, nothing more, and I’ve moved on. What I’ve realized is that these moments are precious. They are put into our lives for all sorts of serendipitous reasons - to tell us "keep going", or that "this day is miraculous" or to simply "slow down." They are tiny reminders of the beauty in this world and they are so full of grace in themselves.

Once I'm completely enveloped in them, and they've left me in a silly little trance, I have to wonder what they really are. Some would say it's just another good day. Others, nothing at all. I personally believe its God - revealing to us little slices of heaven - reminding us all to "keep going," or that "this day is miraculous" or to simply "slow down."

And whatever the case may be, at the end of the day they're nothing but good feelings and lovely chances. So take time, and truly enjoy them.
